Celebrate Freedom by Feeding Families: Join Our 250 for 250 Food Drive
In honor of America’s 250th birthday, Northshore Food Bank is launching our “250 for 250” Food Drive, inviting 250 community members, businesses, or organizations to donate 250 items or pounds of food to help keep shelves stocked during the summer months.
Summer is often one of the slowest times of year for food donations, while many neighbors continue to rely on supplemental groceries to help stretch household budgets and keep food on the table. Community food drives like this help keep pantry shelves stocked for local families throughout the summer.
Now through July 30, all are encouraged to host a collection drive or donate requested food items, including canned peas, peanut butter, mac & cheese, and canned fruit.
Collection boxes and bags are available for participating groups, and pickup can be coordinated for larger food drives. Donations may also be delivered to Northshore Food Bank during food donation hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Community Donations door, located through the W. 29th Avenue entrance.
