"Fight Hunger, Build Hope" Our Capital Campaign Was a Great Success

Northshore Food Bank’s “Fight Hunger Build Hope” 3- year Capital Campaign has ended and we want to share with you campaign highlights as well as some very exciting news. In just two short years since moving into our new facility, we have experienced significant benefits from our new administration building and warehouse:

• Our ability to continue service during the COVID-19 pandemic and support the increased need for food was maintained due to the design of our footprint and distribution pattern.

• We implemented safety measures and efficiency practices for our volunteers through the separation of workstations, shelving design and installation of conveyor systems.

• We were able to accept and store more perishable items for participant distribution due to 250% larger capacity in refrigerator and freezer units.

• We increased our storage capacity of dry goods by 44% due to the increase in shelving space. Yet, we are most excited to share with you that as of January 2022, the mortgage on our new building has been paid off. This accomplishment was only possible because of the incredible outpouring of support from our Capital Campaign donors. Because of their generosity and trust in Northshore Food Bank, we are in a strong and solid position to continue to meet the needs of the food-insecure population on the Northshore. We are humbled and honored to see our community join us in this fight.

As we continue to move forward and continue our mission, we hope you will continue to follow us. Together we are making a difference.

Sincerely,

Terri Turner-Marse -CEO
